soul hunger
At some point today, when you begin noticing the first signs of physical hunger, don't eat.
Instead of getting food, engage in an activity you find to be fulfilling. That's right,
you already get a chance to put the activities on your soul food list into action! For example, hug and play with your child, paint a picture, work on a favorite hobby, walk in nature, or anything else that tickles your fancy and fills your soul.
Check in on your hunger before the activity, and then again after about 20 minutes of being engaged in your soul-filling activity.
What did you notice about your hunger while engaged in your soul-filling activity? Did your hunger fade, get stronger, or stay the same?
I went to a meetup over my lunch break and didn't eat lunch til mid afternoon.
I was pretty hungry when I went to the meetup but very soon forgot about it completely. I wasnt particularly hungry right up til when I ate.
What sensations did you experience while you were engaged in your soul-filling activity? How did this feel?
Engaged, interested, eager to participate. Nothing to do with thinking about food.
